The Revenue house which is located in Old Yerevan quarter at 12 Buzand street is one of the most prominent buildings of Old Yerevan quarter.
The Revenue house used to be one of typical examples of 20th century architecture of Yerevan. It was located on the crossroads of Astafian and Nazarovskaya streets, currently Abovyan and Amiryan streets. The building was designed by architect Vasiliy Mirzoyan.
The layout design of the two storey building is symmetrical, mainly consisting of two layered rectangular-shaped rooms.
The first floor of the building was designed entirely for shops, which is reflected in large glass windows on the facade of the building. The store entrances were both from the main facade and the yard. From the length of the yard on the second floor there are 2 open balconies. The pillars of the main facade of the second floor are enriched by feminine carvings. The facade is covered with black and orange tuff of Yerevan.
